Chinese massage - Tui Na

Tui Na is a form of massage that is connected to the traditional Chinese medical theory: One makes use of the palm of the hand, fingers and elbows to massage with different intensities over the whole body.
In a typical session the client is wearing loose clothing, no shoes and lies on a massage table.
Tui Na is well suited for the treatment of specific musculoskeletel disorders and stress,chronic stress related disorders of the digestive and resperatery systems.

Chair massage

This short, intensive massage lasts 20 minutes. The massage concentrates on the following areas: neck, shoulder und upper back.
Receiving a chair massage regularly can help prevent neck problems, “mouse arm” and stress.
If it’s not possible, to come to the practice for the massage, then this massage can be received in your home or work place (within Amsterdam).

Acupuncture

Acupuncture began 3000 years ago in China and has thru the ages grown to be a precise sience:It can readily treat health problems ie: back pain, migrane, chronic tiredness.
Thru the use of sterile needles been placed in diverse areas of the body the whole body system can be brought in to a healthy position.

The therapist

Since 1996 Rhona Mc Arthur is a qualified acupuncturist and masseuse. She became interested in acupuncture in 1991 and since then has followed courses in the U.S.A., Ireland and the Netherlands.
She studied three years in the Chinese Medical Centre in Amsterdam and closed her studies with a work experience in two hospitals in China. Her original studies were in biochemistry and microbiology.
